Before your imagination runs wild and you picture naked models cavorting down the runways, we’re talking makeup, not fashion! That’s right, another huge trend is a move to the opposite side of the color spectrum we usually see for the colder months (think deep purple, blue, crimson, black, grey etc..), into a nude lip with strikingly strong & confident eyes, or barely there eyes with a slash of color on lips. Noteworthy runway shows that made great use of the new trend? Balenciaga managed to pull off both the nude eye & lip but for everyday, make sure you play up one feature and don’t strip back to completely neutral or you’ll look washed out rather than edgy & sophisticated; Lanvin kept it ladylike with pale skin, an elegantly crafted eye and bright lips; Yigal Azrouel tapped into a darkly glamorous and slightly tough look with strong eyes and a nude lip (green side note: the hair for the show was created by Aveda and Odile Gilbert).
